Alberto Cruz and his family opened il Porto in Gaithersburg in 1996. Now, 11 years later, he opens his new location in historic Frederick, giving local residents an excellent choice of fine Italian cuisine.

Everything at il Porto is made fresh daily and served piping hot. You can feast on everything Italian from pasta to pizza. Their tiramisu and tartuffo ice creams deserts are to die for and they have a well-stocked bar. The elegant mood is set by the crisp, white tablecloths, and a wonderful, large mural of Venice.
